Penang Island have approximately 10,000 stray dogs currently, a figure that has grown over time. The advent of stray dogs is caused by their owner abandoning them, while others are the offspring of those abandoned.
The number of strays continues to rise, despite government and non-governmental organisations’ efforts to reduce the number.
A group of SEGi College students from the School of Information Technology, School of Hospitality and Management, and School of Business collaborated with the Penang Animal Welfare Society (4PAWS) in Teluk Bahang, Penang, on this project.
