On 2nd April 2024, four students from SEGi University embarked on an insightful visit to Daikin Electronic Devices Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (DEDM) in Shah Alam. This visit provided a unique opportunity for the students to immerse themselves in the working culture, products, and manufacturing processes at DEDM, bridging the gap between their academic knowledge and real-world industry practices.
During their visit, the students witnessed the journey of a bare PCB (Printed Circuit Board) transforming into a fully functional PCB with loaded components. This hands-on experience gave them a comprehensive understanding of the intricate processes involved in electronic device manufacturing. The applications of these processes were also briefly explained, highlighting how DEDM saves energy in manufacturing, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
