SEGi College Subang Jaya Co-Curriculum Management students recently completed a successful beach cleaning event, “Sea You, Sea Me,” on 18 March 2023 at Pantai Kelanang, Banting. The event, organised by the School of MPU, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of reducing single-use plastics, littering, and waste. The students worked with My Clean Beach, a programme started to clean up Malaysian beaches, to supply beach cleaning equipment.
The purpose of the event was to emphasise the importance of preserving the environment and underwater wildlife, as well as to educate the public about recycling and how it benefits our ecosystem. The event was in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14, which calls for the conservation and sustainable use of the oceans, seas, and marine resources for long-term development.
