On 16 May 2023, a team of students of SEGi University’s School of IT organised a visit to Rumah Cahaya Kasih Kota Damansara, aligning with the University’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger.
Fifteen students from the School of IT visited twenty children and three teachers at the orphanage, bringing donations such as rice, cooking oil, and canned food as part of their commitment to addressing hunger. The gifts came generously from students and staff of SEGi, emphasising the wonderful collaborative effort in supporting the cause.
The team also provided a nutritious lunch for the children, and later engaged them in interactive storytelling activities, an initiative which aimed to foster creativity, imagination, and a love for learning among the children.
This combination of educational activities and lunch demonstrated the school’s commitment to not only addressing immediate hunger needs but also promoting holistic development among the orphans.
