SEGi’s Senior Lecturer and Composer Yii Kah Hoe, who has been performing at the May 13th cemetery for over a decade, collaborated with director Zhang Jian on the film “Snow In Midsummer 五月雪,” which uses the May 13th incident as its backdrop.
The film and its music aim to evoke public discussion and understanding of this historical event. Yii emphasises that acknowledging and discussing the past is crucial for moving forward.
