SEGi University Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) (BMC) and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in English and Public Relations final year students from the Faculty of Communication and Creative Design (FoCCD) organised a Euphoria Carnival today, 11 April 2019, at SEGi University, Kota Damansara, to create awareness on the welfare of the handicapped community and to raise fund for SunTeck Handicapped Welfare.
Starting at nine in the morning, the guests are welcomed by Professor Firdaus Low, Dean, Faculty of Communication and Creative Design (FoCCD). He stated, ‘’Happiness doesn’t simply occur – it must be created, it must be delivered, found, developed, built from the earliest stage. And it must be a choice in one’s brain: the choice to be happy. It is extremely straightforward. One must have a conviction to be cheerful regardless of what inconvenience life tosses at them’’.
There were various fun activities planned throughout the day, including a dance performance by the SEGi Euphoria team and the popular TV host and actress Masrenny Masri, a dance number from her TV3 drama, Resort Berhantu.
In addition, there were also several booths with a different type of games and products for sale set up for SEGi staff and students. Many students are part of the SEGi Euphoria team, engaging the visitors to participate in the activities aim to encourage positive development, improve self–esteem, and celebrate exhilaration.
Some of the highlights were musical performances by talented students and the Cik Ketuk dance challenge.
The carnival was also supported by sponsors like Redbull, Fifthroom, All Sports Galaxy, Flamitiz, Adabi, Broz Car, My Book Craft, The Natorist, Extreme Sports and Fitness, and Live Pixels Studios, who are significant to the success of the campaign.
