Joint Winner of the Good Universities Guides 'University of the Year 2000-2001' award, the University of Southern Queensland also won the Inaugural Award for Excellence from the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) as a world leader in 'dual-mode' education. The University has approximately 22,000 enrolments, including 5,500 international students.

The Bachelor of Business (Marketing) aims to provided students with and understanding of marketing theories, principles and strategies. Students will study areas of marketing specific to the type of organizations (e.g. Sales Management), as well as the study of contemporary techniques in marketing practices such as Direct Marketing, Database Marketing, and Electronic Marketing. Students will learn how to apply these to real world situations through case studies and applied projects.
